Where did the last few weeks go? Somehow between that time…

I got stranded in NYC on my birthday,

Went to Canada for 8 hours,

Then ended up in Switzerland.

But let’s not talk about the past. Being grounded and being home has been such a sweet, sweet stabiliser, especially because I got to film the next episode of I Have Notes. There’s so much I want to add to this newsletter, and I will in future issues of this, but for now I’ll share one thing I’ve learned over the last few weeks.

The battlefield always starts in the mind.

The truth is, life is hard, things go wrong and I’ve had to learn to a) build a thick skin and b) talk myself off the ledge that makes you feel like one mistake is a death sentence.

Recently, creators on TikTok have been comparing posting on social media to "buying lottery tickets" — in the sense that you never know when you'll make it big. Just remember that when it comes to gambling, the house always wins.
